CAPstone Child Advocacy Center is pleased to announce an opening for a full time Forensic Interviewer.
CAPstone is a child friendly, safe place for children to come and talk to a trained forensic interviewer we are located in Gering, NE and serve the eleven counties in the Panhandle of Nebraska with three satellite offices located in Chadron, Alliance and Sidney. 

Forensic Interviewer: 
The Forensic Interviewer position will be responsible for conducting highly specialized interviews of children making allegations of sexual abuse, physical abuse, and severe neglect, witness to violence, drug endangered, or recovered from a kidnapping.  Duties will include coordination and documentation of interviews of children.  This position will also require the ability to testify in court.

Qualifications:
The Forensic Interview position is a professional position a bachelor's degree is preferred in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice or related field.  A minimum of two years' experience working with children and families where abuse and violence are identified issues is required.  Previous professional experience working with the criminal justice field, child welfare field, or as a member of a multi-disciplinary team is preferred.

This position is 40 hours per week and could require the ability to respond after normal working hours to emergency situations.  Weekend, evening, and holiday hours could be required.  Must be willing to work flexible hours.  Must have access to a vehicle and possess a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.  Must submit to a national criminal history check, sex offender registry check, and Central Register check.  This position does require travel primarily in Nebraska.
